On Friday, we had a visit from Shirley, Henry's PT, in the afternoon. Henry continues to dazzle. After she left in the afternoon, Henry had a unexpected but needed afternoon nap. When he got up, he caught some of the presidential debate coverage on the television. The debate was over but we kept the coverage on, because Grandma was one of the expert panelists on Arizona Illustrated.

He tried to give Grammy a hug and kiss, but the screen changed. So he gave Dr. John Garcia a kiss instead.

On Saturday morning, we had a big breakfast at Joel's near the UofA. Joel stopped by our table to make sure everything was good. Henry said hello to lots of people in the courtyard. He was annoyed that we didn't let him wander around on his own. There was a woman with a baby who was pulling to a stand but not walking yet. While she fiddle with her cell phone, I watched the child pick up one of the many hard nuts from palm trees that were sprinkled all over the ground. I jumped up and said "Your child! Your child! Just popped something in its mouth!" The woman smiled, and said, "Oh, I saw that." She then extracted the hard nut from the child's mouth. I wasn't trying to interfere, but I don't think that she saw it. She wasn't even looking at the child at the time. Cell phones and baby monitoring don't mix.
We set up our blanket near the turtle pond. Henry wasn't interested in relaxing on the blanket. He just wanted to explore. He immediately set off near the biggest muddle patch in the area. Jeff trailed behind him and tried to guide him around the muddy area, only to get bitten in the process. Yes, indeed. Mr. Independent intentionally bit hit his Dada. It left a notable impression upon Jeff's skin. Jeff picked him up and took him about 100 yards from the mud puddle. Henry explored some new terrain.
In the afternoon, he visited Grandma and Grandpa who were experiencing Henry withdrawals, not having seen Henry since Wednesday. He had a good afternoon, except for having a major vomit episode in the evening. He did get knocked over by Winston, Aunt Erin and Uncle Brian's large, young sheepdog who isn't very coordinated yet, being just a tot himself.
Today was odd. Henry tossed and turned around 6 or 7AM. I got up to pump, thinking that he'd be up soon. Jeff did get him a bottle at one point. But for all intents and purposes, Henry stayed in bed until 10:30AM, sacked out. We checked on him constantly. Around 10:30AM, Jeff decided to take his temperature. The loud beeps from the monitor finally woke Henry up. He was in a good mood but drowsy. After a late breakfast, we met my parents at Costco around 12:15PM. Henry got annoyed at being strapped into the cart. Jeff took him out and let him walk around one of the less crowded isles (the socks and underwear section). When Jeff tried to guide him, Henry made a valiant effort to bite Dada again in protest but Jeff pulled his hand away in the nick of time. We are going to have to come up with a good way to deal with this new biting issue. If anyone has any suggestions, please post. We're all ears.
Henry left Costco with Grandma and Grandpa. He fell asleep in the car. Ended up taking a 2 hour nap. Either he is going through a growth spurt or he is fighting off a bug. Jeff and I went home, had lunch, and spent our together time watching "Akeelah and the Bee," which is one of the most delightful movies that we've seen in a long time.
That's all from here for now.
