It has come to our attention that we made a big "oops" last week in mailing out thank you cards for the wonderful gifts that our family and friends have given Henry. My mom was sitting in our living room looking at our stamps (39 cent stamps) the other day and asked me if I needed any 2 cent stamps to go with them. I said, "Why?" Jeff and I completely missed out on the postage increase during Henry's stay in the NICU. I completely ignored the news for the month of May. Didn't watch any. I guess that's when the rate increased.
We sent out about two-thirds of our thank you cards last week. We'll be sending out the rest this week. We've enclosed some very cute pictures of Henry in them. And, we really do want to thank you all for your thoughtful presents.
We feel a bit guilty getting our thank yous out so late as it is. And then feel a bit silly at having screwed up the postage. We do know that Uncle Jim received our pictures. Luckily, the postal service didn't check all of the envelopes for the appropriate postage! We haven't had the Post Office return any of them yet, but we are on the lookout for them in our mail box.
If you don't receive a card and picture from us in the next week or so, please, please, please let us know.
