Adoring His Daddy

Henry had a busy Sunday at the grandparents' house. He enjoyed his solid foods. He also enjoyed grabbing Grammy's glasses off her face and tossing them aside. I heard my mom saying "No!" to my baby. Henry is getting rather forceful with his grip. And, he has an excellent arm. We took several cute pictures of Henry. Jeff took one of me holding Ramses (the Pom Pom/Ewok) near Henry and my dad. Ramses and Henry look like they are about the same size.

On Monday, Henry did a lot of sitting up for longer and longer periods of time. He's doing a great job putting his hands on the ground and turning onto his knees, where he bounces back and forth. We had an appointment with his pediatrician yesterday. He weighed 16 lbs 14 ozs. Nothing interesting to report. When Dr. Bianchi came into the room, he said "I didn't get a chance to see Henry in February." Yes, indeed. A whole month with no pediatrician visit.

In the evening, we went for a walk. Henry was so cute. He looked up adoringly at his daddy. Jeff says that he wasn't looking at him; he was just looking up to figure out how to get his hood off his head. I do think that Henry was adoring Jeff. But it is also true that Henry has recently gone through an anti-hat phase. I think that he likes knowing that he has control to move objects (e.g., hats). Jeff took a self-portrait of himself and Henry. With his arms stretched out, it almost looks like Henry took the picture! Grandpa visited in the evening.

Today, Henry was a sack. He slept a lot. Bitsy likes to sleep near Henry in the Boppy pillow. When Henry was awake, he was making a lot of Ba sounds again. Grammy took care of Henry this afternoon. He was pretty fussy this evening. We tried avocados again, but he wasn't in the mood for them, giving us some "yuck" facial expressions. The avocado was very fresh, but it wasn't nearly as flavorful as the ones given earlier.
