"I Want Mommy!"

My son has a one-track mind: "Pics! Pics!" Oy vey!

I ended up showing him pictures of famous paintings. We often use Google images to find new "pics" to look at. Incidentally, I do not recommend looking up "squirrels" as a subject. A lot of pictures of taxidermied squirrel photos will appear (some of the squirrels are taxidermied into lewd positions). People have rather obscene, pointless, sick hobbies.

In the late afternoon, we went for a walk. Henry drank his "bot" as we cruised the neighborhood. He smiled through his bottle at Yvonne and Swani. Roger was the object of everyone's affection on the walk. He was chased by Luke, Annie, and Chocolate. Having lost 12 lbs since January has really paid off for him. He's now 60.6 lbs and was able to get away from his admirers.

I made dinner. Asparagus soup, which Henry didn't really eat but he did manage to make a mess with his spoon and bowl and get soup all over his hands and hair. Henry was really grumpy and dinner. Yelled "Up! Up!" at me after 3 minutes of having sat down to dinner. He was very upset that I did not acquiesce and get him out of his seat. We made a quick dinner of it. At one point, I had to go into the kitchen (about 10 feet from the table) to get a wash cloth. Henry was mad that I left and shouted out "I Want Mommy!" Felt bad that he was upset, but I was highly impressed at his ability to construct a sentence! And I confess that I loved being the object of the sentence.

We gave our very tired boy a bath. He was exhausted. He stayed up late last night. Only took an hour nap today. Recipe for exhaustion. Fell asleep in Dada's arms within 5 minutes. Dada went to the store. Henry called out about 20 minutes after Dada left. I transferred him to the king-sized bed. He snuggled with me, which was nice.
