Walking Around the Neighborhood

After I took an hour and a half nap last night, Jeff and I gave Henry a bath, which went well. Henry didn't protest, which was a nice change. I stayed up with Henry last night. He wanted to eat every hour on the hour. I got Jeff up around 5AM. I had intended to get some sleep, but it didn't work out that way.

We took Henry on the morning dog walk around the neighborhood. He seemed to like it. We ran into one of our neighbors, Janice, who lives across the street from us. We had to explain that we couldn't let people too close to Henry, because of his delicate immune system. She was good about it and stayed several feet back. The oxygen tank strapped to Jeff's back was a pretty good indicator that Henry has some medical issues that he's dealing with. It is kind of sad to think that we may have to wait up to two years before we can do normal things, like show Henry off to friends and neighbors or go shopping with him. It may be sooner than two years. If we're lucky, we can ease up a bit if his lungs have healed and once RSV season is over (October through March). But many kids with chronic lung disease have to be careful for two years.

We weighed Henry this morning; he weighs somewhere between 6 lbs 8 ozs and 6 lbs 8.5 ozs. It was difficult to tell, because Henry would not lie still on the scale. Given that he had such a big gain yesterday, we weren't surprised that he pretty much stayed the same. He's still doing quite well overall in weight gain for the week.

My mom visited Henry around noon. She took of him until 1:45PM. This allowed me to get lunch and put some things away.

Henry ate and slept throughout the afternoon.

We took Henry out and about again this evening around sun down. When we came back, Jeff put Henry in his Pack 'N Play. Our cat Jackson decided to get in on the action by jumping on Jeff's back.
