Henry demonstrated his lack of shyness on several occasions. He tried to ditch us in favor of joining a large family (or maybe it was a class) of kids about 5-7 years old (all boys, I think...probably a class). While at the bearded dragon and snake room, Henry asked a stranger for some of her crackers. She asked me if she could give him some (which was a nice offer), but I declined, figuring that it was a bad precedent to set for Henry. We parted ways with our friends at the fish and duck pond after feeding the ducks. We took our crew to the Kenya Get Wet area. The kids were already fairly wet having played at the squirting frog near the pond. The Twins enjoyed playing with a water pump. Henry had fun laying in the water.
We had lunch at the zoo cafeteria. The kids ate very well. They split a hot dog and PB'n'J. Henry ate an entire bag of animal crackers (about 2 servings per bag) and then Miss R gave him several of hers. He also ate potato chips. He introduced himself to a nearby family and talked with their young cute toddler (a head shorter than he was). We then headed to South America. We got a rare look at the Cayman who swam toward us and in front of the glass. We didn't get home until 3:30PM. The kids took naps. I went to Walmart, the only place in town with premade Similac Sensitive. When I got back, I got The Twins ready for a Mommy-only trip to the Foothills Mall for dinner and a movie. I got them a grilled cheese and lemonade. Then, we saw How to Train Your Dragon (which was very funny). The kids were pretty good. Henry had a tendency to talk out loud, which reminded me of movie watching in Philly where talking at the screen is common place. "That's the Daddy!" "What's going to happen?" After the movie, Henry was a wild man. I managed not to loose him, which was a feat. He totally needs a leash.
On Sunday, we took the kids to Brandi Fenton Park. They played on the slides and then for a brief spell on the splash pad. After the park, we went to Village Inn for lunch b/c Henry wanted waffles and potatoes. Henry flirted with a woman nearby. As he left, he said goodbye to restaurant patrons. The manager commented on what a beautiful family we have. It's true. Our brew is quite lovely (when they aren't throwing tantrums, that is).

In the late afternoon, I let the kids watch Peter Pan with the stipulation that they had to watch the version in Spanish. Miss R was more into the movie than usual. Henry was irked. He knows the words by heart in English (which is why Jeff thought it would be a good candidate for using the Spanish sound track). In the evening, I played matching card games with The Twins and then gave them a shower. Showers are big these days. I had no problems getting Henry's hair washed. I put the shampoo on him before he could protest. Then, he wanted to out of his hair and was therefore willing to go under the water b/c he has been in an anti-bubble phase for awhile now. He doesn't want bubbles in his bath, and he isn't fond of soap. Miss R, on the other hand, was very keen on the bubbles. I also used a new product called Just for Me on her hair. I used the moisturing lotion and detangler too, and the result was very nice. Hoping that her curls will look more controlled tomorrow.Jeff and I had some wine to counterbalance the toddlers' whines before bed. Henry said to Jeff, "I want you to read You're Not Elected Charlie Brown. Put your wine down!"
Jeff read to the kids. I gave Baby A her bottle. She has been only taking 1-2 ozs but more often. It is getting exhausting feeding her. I wish that she'd eat less often but with more volume at any one sitting.
