"Da-Hoh! Johnson For 3!"

During Henry's nap yesterday, I went to the store. I bought him a Valentine's Day balloon (the non-latex kind). He loves it. When he got up from his nap, he and Dada watched the Wildcats vs. UCLA. It was a big game. The Wildcat were on fire. Henry copies everything that Jeff says. Consequently, "Da-Hoh!" is the new phrase of the day. He even copied saying "Johnson for 3!" as in Zane Johnson, one of the UA guards.

He repeated some of the phrases today. Here's a short clip of what he's been saying...

We spent a good part of yesterday afternoon looking for our dumb dogs who ran off and ignored Jeff who was calling for them. Jeff got ahold of Marley several minutes later. Rounding up Roger took about 1.5 hours. Frustrating b/c I needed the afternoon to get work done, so I'm going to be stressed and swamped this week. I have several upcoming hard deadlines, and I had hoped to get things done in advance. Henry had fun with us looking for Roger. We had Henry between us and he got to swing while he held his hands. Henry went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house yesterday in the last afternoon so that Jeff and I could spend a romantic evening getting the house ready for the visit from our family specialist on Tuesday. We went through receipts, and I got the scanner working so that I could scan some documents and then get rid of the hard copies.

Jeff had to work this morning, so it was just me and the Doodle Bug. Henry started stirring around 8AM. He had his morning "bot" right next to me on the couch while we looked at the Little Duck book. He wanted to play on the Pony before breakfast. We basically played around the living room. Practiced rolling around on the floor. Shirley (PT) recommended that we practice jumping off something fairly low to the ground to get the idea of jumping down at her last visit. I pulled out "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" (one of the longer Harry Potter books) for Henry to practice on. I tried to put Henry down for a nap at 10:30AM. It was a struggle. Finally got him to relax some time between 11:30-noon. I fell asleep with him. We didn't get up until shortly before 2:30PM. Grandma and Grandpa came over to take Henry shopping. He was due for some new pants. Then, he went over to their house for dinner. Jeff installed new magnetic locks on some of the cabinets (per required standards for the state inspection). We watched "Fred Claus"; it has been awhile since we've seen a movie.

Other Henry tidbits that I keep forgetting to mention...
(1) Henry has been nodding this past week, which is a new development. He doesn't say "yes," but he will say "OK." He nods when he says "OK."
(2) He has picked up the word "under" from the Pony video game. There's one setting where the dog plays on the playground and goes under the bridge. So Henry will go under his slide and inform me that he is "under."
(3) Henry is getting quite independent. I asked him the other day if I could give him a kiss, and he said "no." He will, however, give me kisses if he thinks that will lead to him looking at pictures on the computer. Every night after bath time, he makes his usual request for "pics...peeease." I ask him for a kiss, and he gives me one. Then says "please" again. The boy knows how to soften me up.

That's about it. Cuyler is coming tomorrow, so we Alicia last week that we wouldn't be needing any help.
