Sick Again But That Doesn't Stop Henry

Miss R has really taken to Aunt Carolyn. She spent a lot of time with her yesterday afternoon. She also slept quite a bit. Henry did not. I stayed home yesterday afternoon working. Jeff went over to my parents' house. He said that Henry fell on his tush purposely several times. Why is a mystery. My mom said that at one point yesterday, Miss R was crying (turned out that she wanted a bottle but wasn't communicating). Henry tried to comfort her several times. When that failed and she continued to cry, he gave her a little kick. I'm pretty sure that landed him in timeout.

When Jeff got home, he put Henry in bed. Miss R had woken up b/c of our security alarm. She and I sat on the couch for awhile. Then I put her in bed. Henry was coughing and hacking, which made me nervous given his lung history. He stirred a lot so Jeff ended up going to bed to hold him. I checked on them a couple times an hour. Around 1:30AM or so, Miss R made some noise. I went to check her b/c she was wearing a Level 3 diaper, which she wets through at night. A fresh one was put on her before she left my parents, so I didn't change it when she got home. She was in fact soaked. As I changed her, I noticed that her body felt hot to the touch. I took her temperature and it was 102.6 axillary (meaning core temp was more like 103.6). A temp that reaches 104 and doesn't come down with Tylenol means a trip to the ER. I got her some Tylenol and took off her shirt so she just had a diaper on. She cooled down shortly thereafter. I ended up checking on her regularly. Someone stirred around 3AM. I can't remember who or why, but the result was both Jeff and I being up. I held Miss R in the rocking chair where we fell asleep. Transferred her to the bed around 6AM.

Henry stirred but fell back asleep in the morning. I don't think that we got out of bed until 7:45AM or so. We played and read books in the living room. Then, we had waffles and hash browns for breakfast. The kids didn't eat much at all. We didn't push it. We gave them a bath. Played. Had a sizable snack. We got the kids down for nap around 12:30PM. They slept well. Stirrings began around 3:30PM but they lazed in the bed with fresh bottles until 4-4:15PM or so. We got them ready for a trip to Grammy and Poppy's house where they will be going swimming. Their temperatures are in check. Henry is still coughing a little. Jeff is taking them over to my parents now. I'm going to get some data analysis completed.
