There was an interesting incident this morning. After breakfast the kids were in the train room playing. I was trying to put clothes on Miss R and heard an odd noise. I turned around to find Henry with his diaper pulled down, peeing on the floor. He spashed some of the new train set. When I was pulling up his pants, he said "I peed on my toe" which he had. I hear that is a cure for athlete's foot. Maybe he's trying to tell me something. It's so wonderful to be potty training two kids and a dog. Throw in the cat puke and it's a bodily fluid extravaganza around here.
When I picked up the kids from school, Henry had another "fluid" moment. This time he told me he wanted to pee in the potty. We were near a restroom so we ducked in. He did it perfectly. Let's hope that carries over to the home.
On the way home Henry stated that he wanted to "Go to the party" several times. He also wanted to "Go to the Barnes and Noble store," "Go to the toy store," and "Go to Grammy's house." The other day he surprised me by asking to go to Dr. Bianchi's. When we arrived home, he found some tokens for a car wash and said "I need money for my pockets." I thought we had a few more years before he started asking for money.
I finally had success with a home cooked meal. I made black bean burger patties, and they both seemed to like them. They also had some of the green beans I gave them. Miss R ate a bowl of baby food squash. Henry had asked for it, then refused to eat it. Overall a good eating night.
We took a walk. Henry fell down and scraped his knee pretty good. Lily knocked him down again. I am a bit surprised that the smallest most nimble dog has knocked Henry down twice while the others all manage to avoid him.
I tried putting Miss R to bed without her nebulizer treatment. She had not coughed all night until I had put her to bed and then she only coughed a little so I thought she might be ok without it. I was wrong. At midnight she had a big coughing fit and seemed on the verge of throwing up again. Kate was able to get her up and give her the medicine. They are both asleep on the couch right now.
