On Friday afternoon, we picked up the kids around 3PM. Dr. Bianchi's office had called and wanted to see Miss R b/c they hadn't planned on her being on the nebulizer long term. And it has been over two weeks.
At daycare, Jeff went to get Miss R. I went to get Henry. Henry gave me a hug and then proceeded to name all of his friends for me, "Elijah, Alex, Shawny, Allie..." He was very cute. We met up with Jeff and Miss R at the fish tank. Jeff and I switched kids. Miss R wanted to "hold you." As we walked out the door, the kids got on a bench near one of the baby rooms and peaked in the window (which they do often). Henry looked in the window and said, "I love you, babies!"
Dr. Bianchi gave us a steroid to add to our nebulizing mix. Her lungs sound OK. We just need to get that cough under control. We think that she's getting a little better. Her nose isn't "exploding" (as Miss Kristen called it) as much as it was yesterday. He also peaked at Henry's ears. They are still a little infected but getting better.
Jeff took care of the kids while I went to Gadabout and Trader Joe's. I returned around 7PM to find the house in order. Both kids struggled against their meds, Miss R with the nebulizer and Henry with his last dose of antibiotics. Miss R fought Jeff just as she had done with me in the morning.
The kids weren't great about brushing their teeth. The standard for Miss R getting a sticker is a bit lower than Henry's. Henry didn't listen to Jeff, so Jeff said he didn't get a sticker. Henry was upset but recovered. Miss R did better than usual, so she got one.
Miss R got up this morning at 6:45AM. I'm in my office now waiting for my co-authors to arrive virtually for a 7AM meeting.
