On Monday morning, I was delighted that Henry noticed that I was wearing a new necklace. Jeff had given me a stone pendant carved in the shape of a rose the night before for Valentine's Day. Henry saw me and said, "You wearing a necklace, Mommy?"
It was morning snack time when we arrived at their daycare. No problems getting them to join their classes.
Jeff picked up the kids in the afternoon. He took them to Sunflower. Henry asked for a balloon. Jeff didn't think that they did balloons there, but the cashier asked someone to get the kids balloons upon hearing Henry's request. Henry, unfortunately, let go of his balloon in the parking lot. Many tears were shed. They came home and were going to play b-ball but Miss R had to use the potty. They took the dogs for a walk and ran into our neighbors. Jeff made the kids salmon for dinner. That didn't go over too well...even though Henry had liked it a couple weeks ago. I got Henry to put a bite in his mouth. It stayed there 10 seconds before he spit it out, yelled "Yucky dinner!", picked up the spit out piece, and threw it at me. Lovely toddler behavior.
The kids had a row over the treadmill after dinner. Miss R wasn't being a good sharer, which landed her in timeout. Later, she walked about a half mile on the treadmill. The kids were fussy so we brushed their teeth and got them ready for bed. I read them a Backyardigans book called "Jungle Colors" three times. Henry is still talking to himself in bed. We can hear him from the living room. I wish that boy would just go to sleep and get his rest.
